JavaScript client would be a nice idea but I am not sure if there will be a lot of users / big community for it?

Using Office Live (aka SkyDrive) for a while and the browser fronted works fine but still missing a good mobile frontend (Windows Mobile + Windows Phone). M$ stopped Mesh Mobile development some time ago. I am not sure why ...

Trying the compiled version or the supplied precompiled binary: the program cannot sign-in.
WLLogOnException exception is thrown, the ErrorMessage of the exception is empty (so no error message is displayed in the alert box), the base exception has this message: "Exception of type 'Microsoft.WindowsLive.Id.Client.WLLogOnException' was thrown.". I can see ErrorCode 0x80004001 and ErrorType -1. Is that error code the NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED?

Hey All,

I tried to use the SkyDrive Viewer but it does not work for me. See my issue in the issue tracker: http://skydriveviewer.codeplex.com/workitem/12872

So did you manage to make this run nowadays? I have a feeling that the project is deprecated? Those dlls supplied with the project are from 2007!

Please give me some heads up!

In the GetSource() function, just after you create the WebRequest object: System.Net.WebRequest req = System.Net.WebRequest.Create(link);
The below code will ensure that the current system Proxy is used. You may want to extend this for custom proxy.

WebProxy myProxy = new WebProxy(WebRequest.DefaultWebProxy.GetProxy(new Uri("http://www.bing.com/")));

There is neither a policy- nor a technical limitation preventing microsoft from offering

FTP access to SkyDrive

FTP predates both webdav and the interweb

OK, there is no technical reason adding WebDAV support for SkyDrive ;-) Btw, GMX offers 5 GB now for free and already supporting WebDAV.

Since 5 GB are enough for me for online storage I think the plan of free/commercial product is a good idea.

M$ can't add webdav support to skydrive unless they:

a) shrink the storage to somewhere under 9GB

b) make skydrive a paid service

or they do what ADrive did

make two types of plans, a free one without webdav support and a paid one with webdav support.

Why of this, simple, M$ have established a rule that forbids offering FOR FREE, MORE THAN 9GB of storage, WITH WEBDAV SUPPORT.

Obviuosly M$ doesn't want to break their own rules.

Rated 1 Stars (out of 5) - Login works but it reads the whole directory structure and files and this takes very long and ends with: "Big Fat Hairy Error: 404" ... A lot of (UI) restrictions makes it not very useful. I prefer using my SkyDrive on the web ;-) "SkyDrive Viewer" is a really good idea but the implementation ...
